CONTAGION

Alias: Carrie Childs, from Watkinsville, Georgia. Senior at Oconee High School. Hidden beauty and very shy. Moved to Watkinsville from Cleveland, Ohio three years ago. Smart young lady who always seems to be in a daydream. Carrie is beginning to receive attention from boys and also some shade from the girls. Her grades are good but not great. Carrie’s Z-gene is active and she began showing “abilities” about a year ago. Nibbles the family cat contracted FIV a deadly feline disease, while being pet by Carrie. No one understood what happened and eventually the curiosity gave way to everyday life. A few months later, she noticed that if she concentrated really hard, she could make plants die and animals sick. Once, she lost control and accidently caused her little brother to contract cancer. She has spent the time since then pretending that she doesn't’ have the abilities that she has. She has been accepted to and hopes to attend Georgia State University in the upcoming fall semester. Since the accident with her brother, she has become more and more withdrawn and afraid.
