INSIDIOUS

Alias: None; Insidious is one of the most powerful beings in the FutureGen Comic Universe. From an unknown part of the universe Insidious has never been heard of before because no one has ever survived to tell the story. After detecting a dark matter spike in the Milky Way galaxy, she decides that the inhabitants may provide a unique form of entertainment. Insidious, unknowingly to others is a member of a species once known as the Ersatz. The Ersatz were one of the first intelligent lifeforms in the universe. They conquered space travel by using technology over 4 billion years ago. Not long after that, they began to incorporate technology into their physiology. As they evolved, they began displaying abilities that even they could not fully understand. It was then that a legendary Ersatzian scientist unlocked the secrets of their DNA and through molecular manipulation helped a group of test subjects manifest miraculous abilities without the assistance of technology. Those subjects were relegated to a small “micro planet” that sustains life. There, in isolation they began to procreate and evolve. After a millennium, there were a handful of separated Ersatzians that displayed what seemed to be limitless powers. What happened from that point is still a mystery.
